Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Testimonial

The Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry received a $193,870 Wisconsin Fast Forward grant to develop a dedicated training center for its production and finishing workers. Partnering with Lakeshore Technical College, the Manitowoc-based company trained more than 70 unemployed job seekers. Courses focused on customized safety training and in-house finishing and production training and gave new employees transformational training outside of the production environment, which included a full-time Spanish translator to help the company attract and retain employees. Overall, the employer was able to improve employee, retention, and morale and create a thriving work environment.
